My love for fitness began at a very young age. As a Baby Boomer, I grew up a member of the most active and physically fit generation that our country had ever seen. We were constantly in motion: running, jumping, swimming, riding bikes, jumping rope, climbing trees. Our summer vacations were spent outside playing from sun-up to sun-down. And when the days got shorter, we donned our grey gym shorts and white t-shirts for P.E. classes on freshly waxed gymnasium floors.

As my personal passion evolved into a professional calling, I joined our fledgling industry long before terms such as fitness professional, or personal fitness trainer were part of our common vernacular.

But through all the years of working out, building gyms, and training clients, I have always held to one truth: if nothing else, fitness must be fun. And it is with that sense of fun that I undertake this Blog.

Here, I hope to share a few insights, expound a bit of old-school advice, and take the occasional light-hearted look at the health and fitness colossus that has evolved over the decades.
